My father was the photographer for the state capital of Texas when I was a child. Our house always had a dark room (or at least a closet dedicated to development). I grew up amidst amazing black and white prints with wide white borders. I recall images of governors, senators, presidents and a myriad of hula hooping hippies. That was when my true love of the story that photographs tell started.
Armed with a fully loaded Kodak 110 Pocket Instamatic hand-me-down and a limited stash of flashcubes, I explored the world (well, neighborhood) through that terrible little viewfinder and the passionate addiction began.
I love traveling and documenting it photographically. I enjoy the flexibility and immediacy of digital, but miss the tangible functionality that it now lacks. I love the feel, touch and texture of a photograph.
Take a picture, make a print and send it to a friend. Like the photograph itself - the response you receive will be memorable.
